Integrating Mindfulness and Psychotherapy ~ Guest, Dr. Shari Becker

Integrating Mindfulness and Psychotherapy ~ Guest, Dr. Shari Becker

Let’s Talk Wellness ~ with Host, Mara James

Could learning yoga enhance your healing experiences with psychological therapies?  Mara welcomes Dr. Shari Becker for this conversation exploring the powerful changes that are possible through integrating mindful practices with positive psychology.

Dr. Shari Becker has been a clinical psychologist since 1998, after taking a leap of faith to leave a law practice that she didn’t find fulfilling.  Her love for yoga started almost 20 years ago and she became certified as a yoga teacher in 2014.  It is Shari’s great pleasure and privilege to integrate the teachings of yoga, mindfulness and traditional psychotherapy approaches in her private psychotherapy practice, meditation and mindfulness-based gentle yoga classes.

Shari believes that by increasing awareness of our thoughts, feelings and physical sensations, we are able to make choices that are in our best interest. One mindful choice at a time, we can create a lifestyle in which we are able to reach our highest potential for overall physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and relational well-being.
