Recognizing & Screening for Dyslexia and ADHD ~ Guest, Dr. Jordana Levine
Let’s Talk Wellness ~ with Host, Mara James
Learning disorders often have a stigma that can make a child feel overwhelmed and like something is wrong with them - but it does not have to be that way. Mara welcomes Dr. Jordana Levine this week, to explore the not-so-complicated ways that early screening for dyslexia and ADHD can make a big difference in the development of our children’s cognitive and learning abilities.
Dr. Jordana Levine is a licensed educational psychologist and certified school psychologist in practice in Newport Beach, California. She holds these professional licenses/credentials in California, Connecticut, and New York. She provides psychoeducational evaluation services and educational counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of focus are ADHD, Dyslexia, and Executive Functioning.
Working in the field since 2005 in hospitals, special education, and regular education in both independent and public school settings, Dr. Levine has deep experience administering neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations to identify student needs and establish intervention strategies for remediation and school accommodations.
In 2021, Dr. Levine formed her private practice: Levine Assessment & Learning, Inc. in Newport Beach, California. She began her career working for independent, public and non-public schools in New York City and Westchester County, New York. Dr. Levine also worked as the Head School Psychologist for the Wooster School in Danbury, Connecticut and, most recently, as a school psychologist in the Capistrano Unified School District.
Dr. Levine has a passion for working with all kinds of children and their families, and is committed to staying apprised of the most recent developments and research in her field.
